K-8 Interlaced Learning Mentor

Job type: Full-time and part-time available (hourly)

Are you looking for a non-traditional learning mentor role in a fast-paced, fun environment? Do you like to mentor students in an engaging and caring way, where the focus is on real-life skills and applications? Do you like technology and teaching students in a face-to-face and online platform? This might be for you!

The InterlacED* learning mentor position functions as a combined online/on-site learning mentor which interlaces:

  • Career-readiness
  • Critical life skills, and 
  • Kingdom values. 


The InterlacED* Learning Mentor is responsible for assisting the teacher in the classroom with the implementation and monitoring of the InterlacED curriculum, which includes, but is not limited to: core content areas (ELA, Mathematics, Science, History, and Art), as well Kingdom Values courses. 


Founder’s Note: This position is NOT a standard learning mentor role like those found in a brick-and-mortar school. If you like the idea of mentoring outside of the box, flexible seating for students, and focusing on those areas where you want to make those “they should teach this in school” a reality, this position IS for you!  ParagonED is a fun, fast-paced school where you can create, design, and feel what it’s like to work in a start-up and doing what you love!


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
This is not an exhaustive list of all duties and responsibilities required of all personnel within this position, but these are the key ones!

  • Building positive relationships with students who know you truly care about their success.
  • Serving all students with quality interlaced (online and on-site) learning experiences that are interactive.
  • Providing career-experiences and making lessons relevant to real-life.
  • Participating in applicable staff development training.
  • Collaborative consulting with school personnel. 
  • Collaborating with the teaching and administrative staff.
  • Comprehending the curriculum in its entirety for assigned grade levels and content areas.
  • Demonstrating knowledge of general curriculum standards and how they align with the core content, the life skills experiences, and Kingdom Values courses.
  • Understanding overall individualized needs of assigned families and unique characteristics of students/parents; specifically, how this impacts the support needed.
  • Utilizing asynchronous and synchronous tools to augment course content according to prescribed policies and procedures set by ParagonED.
  • Orienting students to courses and communicating course requirements in coordination with the Interlaced Teacher.
  • Grading in a timely manner in coordination with the Interlaced Teacher.
  • Maintaining on-site classroom hours and conducting small group instructional sessions.
  • Setting and enforcing deadlines for student work in coordination with the Interlaced Teacher.
  • Supporting parents with student curricular, behavioral, and instructional issues.
  • Being responsible for student academic progress and attendance in coordination with the Interlaced Teacher.
  • Balancing flexibility of the Interlaced Curriculum with ParagonED’s policies and procedures.
  • Participating in conferences with students and guardians/parents in coordination with the InterlacED* Teacher.
  • Providing instruction/tailoring instruction to help each student achieve their grade-specific curricular objectives and Kingdom Values.
  • Participating in extracurricular functions, when necessary.
  • Collaborating and communicating effectively with colleagues. 



EDUCATION AND TRAINING:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education a plus, but not necessary.
  • EC-5 or 4-8 certification a plus, but not necessary. 
  • Willingness to participate in ParagonED training.


SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

• 3 years of classroom experience preferred.
• Experience working with K-8 students and hybrid learning preferred.
• Must have a positive attitude and perception about the goals of ParagonED/ Kingdom Values.
• Must be flexible with working hours and varying hours each week based on the school’s needs.
• Should be willing to expand Interlaced teaching best practices through professional development.
• Should have knowledge of best practices related to individual student learning.
• English language skills required.
• Must be very self-motivated.


BUDGET AND/OR RESOURCE RESPONSIBILITY:

Must be able to budget for classroom activities and submit itemized receipts. 


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands. The employee frequently is required to talk or hear. K-8 & HS InterlacED (Hybrid) Teacher

Are you looking for a teaching position that allows you to think outside the box and offer your students great experiences in core content areas, as well as: the culinary arts, coding, service projects, music and other exciting opportunities through our partners? Do you enjoy teaching hands-on lessons, in a tight-knit, caring school community?


The K-8 Interlaced teacher position functions as a combined online/on-site teacher interlacing: Career-Readiness, Critical Life Skills, and Kingdom Values. K-8 certification and strengths in ELA and Mathematics are needed. 


The InterlacED* teacher is responsible for implementation and monitoring the InterlacED* curriculum, which includes, but is not limited to: core content areas (ELA, Mathematics, Science, and History) and Kingdom Values courses. In addition, electives will be taught within the digital learning platform, which vary each semester, based on student interest. 


The InterlacED* teacher will deliver instruction in the in-person and online learning environment and will develop classroom lessons. The InterlacED* teacher will develop essential components of face-to-face interventions and enrichments, which will be developed and delivered according to data-driven decision making philosophies and research.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education,  preference given to certified teacher, EC-6 or 4-8 Certified, preferred 


SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

• Three + years of nontraditional classroom teaching experience preferred.
• Experience working with K-8 students and supporting students/ parents in the use of technology.
• Must have a positive attitude and perception about the goals of ParagonED/ Kingdom Values.
• Experience with hybrid learning is preferred, but not required.
• Must be flexible with working hours.
• Should be willing to expand Interlaced (hybrid) teaching best practices through professional development.
• Should have expertise in virtual and hybrid pedagogy.
• Should have knowledge of best practices related to individual student learning.
• English language skills required.
• Required to agree to alignment of Kingdom design.

PT - DFW Local Development Manager

This role is essential to student acquisition and community engagement, ensuring families learn about and enroll in ParagonED. The Local Development Manager will represent our mission at events, conferences, and community gatherings, actively engaging with parents and students. They will also support on-site activities, remote outreach, and strategic partnerships to grow our presence in Texas.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
This list is not exhaustive; responsibilities may adjust based on enrollment needs and strategic goals.

  • Serve as a ParagonED brand ambassador, effectively communicating our Critical Life Skills, Business Experience, and Kingdom Values approach to potential families.
  • Identify and attend relevant community events, school fairs, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote enrollment.
  • Set up and manage informational tables at events, engaging parents and students in meaningful conversations.
  • Organize local marketing campaigns and collaborate with the team on strategic outreach initiatives.
  • Build relationships with local businesses, churches, and community leaders to develop referral partnerships.
  • Follow up with prospective families, guiding them through the enrollment process.
  • Assist with open houses, information sessions, and virtual meetings to educate parents on our unique educational model.
  • Work closely with the Head of School and leadership team to align recruitment efforts with organizational goals.
  • Track and report on enrollment leads, event impact, and conversion rates to inform strategy.
  • Stay up to date on education trends, policies (including ESAs), and parental concerns to address questions confidently.

  • Exceptional communication and public speaking skills.
  • Comfortable working onsite, remotely, and at in-person events.
  • Highly self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) tools is a plus.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Hybrid role: Work remotely, onsite at school locations, and at various events.

  • Ability to stand for extended periods at events and lift up to 30 lbs (event materials).

Administrator Fellowship (1-Year)

The ParagonED Administrator Fellowship is an immersive training program designed to prepare future campus administrators for full-time building administrator roles within our organization. This fellowship offers a unique opportunity to learn and grow within a supportive environment, while also contributing to the success of our K-8 InterlacED* educational model. 


NOTE: All future ParagonED administrators MUST complete this fellowship program.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of School.


EDUCATION AND TRAINING:

  • Master's degree in Educational Leadership or a related field, preferred.
  • Valid teaching certification, with a minimum of 3 years of classroom teaching experience.

  • Strong leadership skills and a passion for innovative, non-traditional education models.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
